The Iron Tail Buffalo Nickel Necklace

this beautiful set is handcrafted of 7 buffalo nickles ranging 1935-1937, beautiful & dreamy sonoran mountain, and handmade rolo chain. the necklace with the earrings are just so dreamy!! surely a statement! i cherish the tradition that i carry, it was an honor to create something that resembles the beauty of the Native Peoples before me.

This piece was designed for Art of the Cowgirl, and i was so glad that i got to hold onto it for a little longer! the earrings are designed with strength & functionality in mind. instead of a normal post earring, i designed a french hook/post hybrid to keep their strength like a french hook, while still sitting beautifully like a normal stud. this design ensures they do not fall off.

the necklace has one dramatic pendant and a couple accenting coins on each side. these coins are adorned in fine and sterling silvers, and set alongside a beautiful selection of sonoran mountain hinting at a green-to-blue ombré. this necklace can be worn up to 22” long.
